Beginner classes cover a variety of techniques and are meant to help you get started. New to meditation and mindfulness? Try a beginner class.
Continuing classes help you build a regular practice and connect with others who are doing the same. For many people, attending regular sessions helps sustain and deepen their practice over the long term.
Retreats happen periodically throughout the year. They can significantly deepen your practice. Check the schedule (below) or sign up for a newsletter (also below) to get notice of upcoming retreats. I don't suggest you do a retreat until you have a regular practice and are ready. I'd be happy to discuss whether that is appropriate for you.
All classes, private sessions and retreats are taught non-denominationally. I teach essential techniques from various contemplative traditions. I have no hidden religious agenda and have no intent to change your religion.
Live classes are the best way to learn. However, if you cannot join a live Zoom class (or don't feel like it), but still want to learn meditation and mindfulness, you can learn at your own pace by signing up for this Self-Paced Online Beginner Meditation & Mindfulness class. When you click on the link below, you'll be taken to an online learning platform which will show you the class curriculum. You'll see that it has written materials and about 4.5 hours of guided meditations I have recorded.
