I've been meditating since 1996 and have learned from various teachers in numerous traditions. I translate that ancient teaching into simple, non-denominational language, focused on the real, down-to-earth practices that work and keep the fun in life.
From 1987 through 2004 I worked in business--as a co-founder or manager of various businesses--and continue to have board responsibilities for a global industrial corporation. I know what international, competitive, and accelerated work life looks and feels like. I also know the value of meditation practice to stay balanced and effective throughout it all, and the value of making changes to bring balance to your personal and professional life.
I helped a family member recover from a mental illness and helped start and run a small mental health education program for families from 1999 through 2010 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Staying grounded and content through that process was very important to success, and meditation helped me do that. In addition, connecting with successful centers and resources around the world helped benchmark our progress.
My formal education includes a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering and an MBA, both from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and I graduated from the Coaches Training Institute in 2009.
I am married with one child and live in East Lansing, Michigan. I speak fluent German.
